what paint do I need?
I unfortunately reversed into my wife's escort not long ago, put my towbar through the front bumper.
Got another bumper from the scrappies today but it's the wrong colour.
I know I need to prep it by cleaning and lightly keying up the surface, but what primer should I use?
Had enough of this dictatorship known as LCB. Gone elsewhere, not coming back. Kiss my ass ChrisW.

Hi Aerosam, what condition is the bumper in and what colour is it going to end up? I'd generally recommend a high 5 build up grey primer.

Sam, just out of curiosity, do you work at the GE Engine overhaul place in Cardiff per chance?

how bad is the colour difference mate
if the new bumper is lighter in colour and its in good condition you might get away with scotch pad it then go straight over with new colour base coat
and clearcoat
