Folding canopy, tent, hood sort of thing

Years ago, advertised in most motoring press was a temporary garage, it folded back like a pram hood and when closed was semi circular from the side.

I need one, does anyone know if they are still being made? I know I could make one, but I would rather spend the time on the car

..and this next expired ebay link is no use at all!!

But at least it gives an idea of price. I was browsing for a much simpler car cover in January when I saw this ad.

Mark, Have a look on Ebay in the tents, there are some big frame tents going for not a lot.

I'm sure I've got one, just don't know where I've put it

Join the scouts and borrow one, they won't be using them in the winter. Reminds me of the local camping shop sale slogan "Now is the winter of our discount tents". Little bit of Shakespeare there. Anchor supplies do some big mess tents that are self supporting and will stand on concrete or hard ground but they aren't cheap.

yours, Pete.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I bought a 6m x 3m gazebo from Makro last summer for £50+VAT. It is complete with all sides including one which zips into place - I don't know how well it would stand up to a severe bit of weather though.

Mark,

You should be OK with the planning guys for this temporary structure, but will it need building regs??????
Is this a new style of spray booth??????
I'm now ducking for cover, awaiting the incoming assault!!
Being serious though, have you tried Macsalvors in Pool, they might stock something suitable.

Cheers. Ken.
