if you fancy a good night out with a load of mates, do what we did, go to the bus garage, pick a random bus number each, then pick the most interesting sounding place.

we ended up with a day out drinking in stirling. was brilliant.

train from gourock to glasgow, got to glasgow for 10, first pint with breakfast, went to 2 or 3 other pubs in glasgow with a pint in each, went to the bus garage, got the bus to stirling, went to 4 pubs up there, bus back to glasgow around 6, don't know much else after that, but i'm told there was 2 more pubs there, train back to greenock for the doors closing (local law, doors shut at 11.30) got home, i assume

you've really got to be commited for that! but the trains and busses cost the same as a taxi back from greenock to my house

What he said ^^^^^ sort of

Hire a mini bus and driver, (about £140) for the day between 15 of you. £30 each in the kitty, start around midday, finish around 2 am.

We did this on sunday for my mates leaving bash, it all got abit wild, we are barred from one of our locals for doing naked star jumps in the middle of sunday lunch service...

But never had laughs like it

How hard can it be?

Grimsby?

Get a budget flight to Prague or Bratislava or anywhere like that, go late morning, go drinking, stay in a dive to sober up then Fly back. The money you'll save in Booze could even make it cheaper than a night out where you live with taxi fares.

Newquey?? Excellent night out there and walkabout bar/club there is very good.

Bournemouth? Excellent lap dancing club there!! Not full of grey hairs which you would expect from bournemouth.

Well the above I CAN recommend, me an me mate flew into Prague and stayed one night and sampled the delights before driving down to Brno for Moto-Gp last month, I would thoroughly recommend a night out (or in) in Prague any time

Do the London Monopoly-board beer run?!?

Drink at every place listed on the board; although you need a strong stomach!

Or if time is short, you could always do the shortened London Underground Circle Line circuit....

No it doesn't
The reason it has such a high female:male ratio is cos they're often well ropey!! I lived in Notts for 12 years.

Unless your definition of love-a-ly is easy. In which case it's game on!!!

You could check out the ferries from hull, they tend not to be too pricey. They do one to Amsterdam.........

on the nottingham front, you guys are doing it wrong... Alex is right!

You have to wait until "term time" when the population of 18-22 year olds increases by thousands thanks to the 2 unis and the higher education college pulling in people from all over the country.

Then go to oceana on a weeknight and you wont be disappointed

i knew you lot would come good with some suggestions

ive done york and newcastle on several occasions both very good.
also had a few nights out in notts

got a friend in ireland (cork) who i used to go out drinking with on a regular basis

maybe i should pay him a visit

saying that im tempted to try the random bus idea altho it would take about 3 hours traveling and i'd still be surrounded by fields
kep the idea's coming

GREENOCK! er, ok, perhaps not...

with the bus though, you don't have to go far, even set yourselves a max time limit on the bus, and you get off at whatever town is 1 hour away for example. might be shit, might be good. one way to find out
