Any boiler engineers?
Our combi, a Vokera Linea has lost a bit water pressure on the gauge since not being used for heating since about April, now when I open the fill loop
valve theres no movement of water into the system..
There is water pressure in the fill loop up to the valve on the CH....
Any ideas?

Sorry this is a pet hate of mine. Someone who installs and repairs domestics heating system is NOT a boiler engineer!
Whats wrong with being a technician?
This isn't a dig at you mate, I hope you get your problem sorted

1)Take the massive hammer out of ur tool box.
2)Raise the said hammer high above your head
3)Swing the hammer, aiming it at the problematic isolation valve.*
*At this point a noise for effect is optional, something like "UGGGGGGH" usually does the job and makes it sound manly too!
If this doesn't do the job run like buggery to the nearest phone as you probably just split a pipe you didnt want to!

well, if you can build a car..............
sorry!
If the main system is holding some pressure (i.e. not zero) then its pretty likely the fill valve. In which case the only answer is turn the cold
water supply off at the stop tap, dismantle the filling loop, find the fault and replace the appropriate valve.
Strange one though, which i guess is why you asked!
I'm no boiler engineer!! I don't like to pay somebody else to do my fault finding either though, they always take longer, do a worse job
and cost a lot!
Retro RWD is the way forward...........automotive fabrication, car restoration, sheetmetal work, engine conversion
retro car restoration and tuning
