urgent aux belt for van question
hi all need some help the aux belt snapped today while on me travels its on a escort van 1.8 diesil with power steering been to the local mator
factors who have given me the wrong one twice and are now shut and just been to halfords who have suggested one to fit and is way to small but he says
its the one.
Does anyone know what the code is for the belt i need as i really could do with the van back on the road by morning cheers adam

It probably is the right belt Fords often use a stretchy belt. It should come with a little metal clip that you slot on the bottom pulley then wind
the belt on

right the belts i got given didnt come with any clips or out i think ill have to just drive to the motor factors and do it there

The strech belts didn't come in untill after the escort van.
The belts for some Escort vans with P/Steering aren't listed correctly in the belt catalogs. I had a customer who we always had this problem
with his vans. You might need a sample or number from the old belt or just go to the dealer who will have the right listing.
