Once upon a time we would have said with a reading like that he must be in CID

I think it's time for some mediaeval style justice here like with the witch trials.
They shouldn't bother putting drink drivers in prison cells, they should put them in a cage with an angry bear. If they were sober they'd
survive. If they're don't they were too drunk to drive
Well perhaps they wouldn't but then we could say it was divine intervention.
There certainly wouldn't be as many drink drivers if even town centre had a cage with an angry bear on display

If it was within about half an hour of having the pint, then that's not surprising. As I understand it, there will be remnants of alcohol in his
mouth etc which distorts the reading which means they should resort to a blood test.

They did, which he also failed. Got a years ban. Not a big guy, but eye opening nevertheless. I usually regard one pint as a safe bet.

Never argue with an idiot. They drag you down to their level, then beat you with experience.
