Better week....
Well, after my slightly dreary post the other week (BAD WEEK) , it seems things
are on th up!
Last week started well, new American fridge/freezer arrived and worked brilliantly. Big up there, finally have more than a days worth of food in the
house!
Bit of a downer losing the tickets I bought for a trip to Alton Towers I promised SWMBO latter part of the week, but such is life and moving house.
My new wishbones arrived end of last week (thanks Wozsher, brilliant job!), and I fitted them to the GTS yesterday afternoon; finally the car's
back on the ground after a month of being on axle stands!
I also picked up some new headlights from Russ yesterday, so thought I'd give the cars front end a rel makeover, and chucked them on too,
brilliant. Thanks again, Russ!
Enjoyed a few hours in the afternoon out in the sunshine with some fellow Locostbuilders at the Lodge Inn in South Woodham Ferrers; didn't stay
too long as long list of jobs to do. Some nice cars and people about though, would've liked to stay longer.
Finally retured the poxy Mountney quick-release steering boss attachment I purchased, mainly because of the post I read recently about the wheel
coming off mid-motorway (glad all involved are ok, btw). Spent most of the weekend phoning around for one of the original Mountney Snap-Off lockable
bosses, and what a touch, found a new one on eBay for £65, half the shop prices! Not bad considering they're a discontinued unit and everywhere
I'd tried was out of stock/sold out.
So, things are well and truly on the up at the moment! All I need to do now is chase up my loom from Premier Wiring which is a few weeks overdue, and
then I'll be even happier.
