Pushrod OHV Valencia engine.
Well known for sludging up, needs lots of lovely fresh oil on a regular basis or it'll sound like 1000 knitting machines played through
motorhead's PA.

almost
the endura is an updated HCS, which is the updated valencia, which was a squashed x-flow from the mk1 fiesta (I think ford got there moneys worth out
of that design)

i think these have tapered spark plugs. normal thread, but no washer, just a taper which is prone to seizing.

Get her a Corsa or a Micra, they are cheap and look a better proposition than the Ka.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Not keen on Corsas, but a Fiesta or Micra would be sensible choices for a small, cheap car. At least Ford bothered to put some rust proofing on the
Fiesta.

Ok, some people don't like French cars but I do. I'd go for a Clio, preferably the newer shape (51 plate on) and a 1.2 16v. We had one and
it's the only car my missus didn't want to get rid of! Child forced sale as it was a 3 door.....
