Caterham academy race series
Just been looking at the cateringvan site and the academy race series in particular. Seems to be a reasonably hassle free way into racing in a series
and car that has been developed over 12 years.
The thinking is that I could get the indy finished, sell it and have a rummage down the back of the sofa for the rest of the dosh.
Anyone got any experience or views on the series?
cheers.
Steve.

I've seen it on the telly a couple of times - it looks like sensible racing, with drivers trying to avoid collisions, backing off if
there's a risk of a bang, and so on. Also pretty good racing.
All in all, they seemed to concentrate on driving skills rather than gamesmanship.

Always worth bringing this one out:

Seriously, a friend of mine did it and had a great fun season and I think would recommend it to anyone interested in getting involved in racing.
On the flip side, knocks and scrapes don't cost too much to repair, but open-wheeled (effectively) cars do flip easily so there is always the
possibility of a very costly accident.
