Cordless hammer drill - Screwfix recommendations?
I've received £90 of Screwfix vouchers for Chrimbyboo.
I've a few cheap drills for bits and pieces around the house but I'd like something a bit more serious.
What do people recommend?
I'd like cordless, hammer action and don't want to spend too much on top of the vouchers. Not sure which brand is preferred?
Thanks all
Michael

I got a Hitachi Li ion one for £97 IIRC but only cos they gave me the wrong one, should have been £199 . Cracking drill and if I have to replace it I
will pay the extra to get another

I've got one of those from the offer in the Autumn. Very good for the money. Good for all those little jobs on the car and around the house,
but it struggled a little drilling 10mm holes in an external brick wall for a satellite dish, but I'm not suprised to be honest.
It's on offer regularly, so if you're not in a hurry, just try again in a month or so.

It's 99 now Chris. Bit disappointed to hear that - That's just the sort of thing I need it for! 8mm was it? Decent bit?

New Catalogue out 4th January. Probably some offers in there. I'll let you know if I hear of anything specific.

Thanks Rkill - I popped in this morning and bought the DeWalt. Have put a nice handle up in the bathroom already! Excellent drill.
Got a bit carried away and bought millions of screws, more drill bits....It's only money!

Slightly off-topic as it's not Screwfix, but B&Q have some good deals at the moment. They have a dewalt, 2-battery 18v cordless hammer
drill down from 199 to 99 and 15% off makes it £85.
I have to say my experiences of Ni-Cad batteries has been disappointing but I have just got a Bosch 18v hammer drill with Li-ion battery, also at
B&Q, for £72.

IIRC B&Q own Screwfix which perhaps explains why Screwfix prices seem to be rising . The guys that owned Screwfix have now started Tool station .

Nearly correct!
Its actually Kingfisher who own both B&Q and Screwfix!
