WHIZZO!

Whizzo, it's snowing HERE for the first time since we moved here 13 years ago.

It looks really weird, I have roses blooming in a garden covered in snow.

Tell them about the bent treacle edges!

Around 9" here in Flixton, Manchester so far. I've never seen it this deep here in my life. Just about managed to get to work at Risley (hour and a half to do a less than twenty minute drive), only to not be able to get in one of the two entrances as the guy in front got stuck three times and then abandoned his car there. I reversed back down to the roundabout and went in the other entrance and found the car park there already so deep in snow that if I stopped, I wasn't going to get out. I came straight back out and home. As I'm a contractor, that's a day's pay gone, but I have spent some time with the kids (school's shut) building a snowman - with TurboGold coach screws for eyes and buttons (distinct lack of coal around here these days!)

I don't want any!
The Monday before xmas, my normal 50 min journey across London took me 3 hrs 20 mins.
Snow? You can stuff it!

Big white flakes, but then what colour would they be, in West Yorkshire, about 8 inch deep so far. My daughters would love this, oh how I miss building snowmen and sledging with them.
