TOPS OFF FOR THE BOYS
TOPS OFF FOR THE BOYS
We have the worst weather in Europe, yet topless cars are more popular here thananywhere else
YOU can't put the British passion for bit of open-top driving down to a sudden surge of Kylie wannabes.
Convertible sales topped 30,000 in the UK during the first three months of the year. Yes, that's right, during January, February and March and
it's a huge 36 per cent increase on the same period last year.
We can count on an average of 66 days of sunshine in Britain, yet we buy four times as many as the Italians, who can enjoy at least twice that.
So why are more of us than ever opting for convertibles?
You'll pay for the pleasure, though. Prices start at £17,595. Worth blowing your top over?
Thats highcosts car they are talking about!!!!!!!

You Brits have always done the best 2 seater roadsters....my personal fave (after the 7 of course) the MGTF....
Fletch.
I'd rather have a bottle in front of me than a frontal labotomy...

I pick up my new MX5 on Tuesday.
Feels good to be a statistic.
Everyone pray for sunshine with me..

Yeah, that's the idea.. but looks like my bloody insurance documents haven't turned up yet so I can't tax it, so I can't pick
it up. If they don't turn up tomorrow I'm going to be one unhappy bunny.
doubtless it will also blaze with sunshine just to rub it in.
