Hellfire Updates

I must apologise for the lack of updates to my website.

Freeserve... now Wankadoo have totally booloxed everything up and I can't login to update it. I'm currently updating to another server and hopefully we'll be back online... Please use www.mkhellfire.co.uk and you will be redirected to the new server - when all is well I'll re-divert back... should be pretty much seamless but the ad's will change! Sorry for the inconvenience...

They kept me off broadband for a month when I cancelled their trial after saying the disconnection process would take 10 working days. I think they've changed name because of the bad press the Freeserve name was getting.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Thanks for those kind words gentlemen...

I thought I'd give FS a try for my broadband connection as IMHO my previous server was AOL... which; for websites; was MUCH worse!

It's now on Lycos (as it's free!) but at least I can update!

Anyone help with suggestions for a new ISP (using BT lines as we have no cable network up here!)

TIA

I use

PlusNet

Not free, but have given me very good service, and have a help-desk that responds to e-mails within 4 or 5 hours (and even phoned me unasked in one instance, to solve a problem quicker!).

They're also very open about their quality of service, with a page on their website listing up-times, current status, and so on.

David

Bulldog have been superb for me. Not heard a bad word said about them and winning the 2004 ISPA "Best consumer broadband" award can't be bad either!

I was going to go with them but I read this lot and went for the f2s(the dear wife picked it really) It's a lottery with pricing and service at the moment but don't let a free modem or free connection swing it. Nobody charges for connection if you stay for 12 months and the price difference can pay for a modem.edit:- I've read a few of the others and it seems like nobody has a good word for any of the suppliers, or only the people with complaints write in as it sems f2s is slow according to most of the letters. You pays yer money and takes yer chance it seems

All I can say is it's been great for me on the alltime 1000 package. A good friend of mine has PrimeTime2000 which flies along at the weekends!

As said, you pay your money and take a chance.

Chris

PS - my company is currently looking at setting up an ADSL service so if you can wait a couple of months there may be some deals offered on here!
