OT - where to buy old lorries ?
My dad's after another old lorry - but he's not finding much worth having without spending really silly money
he's after a pre 73
prefferably an artic and a low loader trailer (for tractors/ crawlers) but will consider most things
needs to be in fairly good nick with an MOT
cosmetic stuff isn't a problem, but it should be mehcanicaly sound (at least nothing major needing done)
anyone know where to look ?
cheers
-Robert

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

Hmm, theres a yard out the back of our house with a canny few rusty scrap lorries. Every now and again they get dragged into the big shed and come out
like they are brand new....
Not sure why but round here there is a lot of garages with mint old trucks and steam traction engines.
Also, as said there is a place where a lot of fairground peeps live and there is dozens of old trucks lying around. And theres a graveyard up the road
full to the brim with dying trucks.
Go on google maps and have look around my postcode, DH5 9JU, theres tons of them lying around.

I know it's a long way from you but there's a fairground wintering place behind the Shack Cafe, on London Road, Hook, Hants RG27 9EH.
It shows up on Google Earth.
I've seen stuff for sale there
