Funny Experience?
Was working on the lack of speedo this afternoon when a kid (about 20ish) stops on his cycle asking directions.
Complements me on my car, spots the Rover and says "Argh, diesel eh? want some cheap mate?"
Anyway offers me 50 litres for £30......
Silly me... locks up and drives him about 15 miles, he says he's popping into the house for the keys to his allotment and tells me to wait round
the corner.. makes a joke about legging it
Anyway, waits 30 mins (silly again) and drives home.
The strange bit now is I have a mountain bike he left in the garage, it looks a bit rough but has suspension and disc brakes etc...
Anyone else think its nicked???

Well, I have it all on cctv. He asked me if I knew anyone from Murton and I asked him who he knew from Murton and he was able to mention a few guys I
know of....
No break in to report, don't think the bikes worth much to anyone either, its goign outside for the pikeys the morn.
Worth getting the local rozzer round?

I think you were his free taxi?
Plan A was the bike ride home, but another 15 miles as a bit much!
And the logic is that you won't persue it because you were already part of a dodgy cheap fuel mission..

It's different, I'll give him that.
Just keep the cctv on, in case he decides to come back for the bike whilst you're out...
Or maybe the reason he was gone so long was to syphon a few neighbours' tanks for you...

Does your CCTV have audio, cos when you show it the plod they'll hear you interested in dodgy derv (about the going rate for nicked red) and
your willingness to go get it.
