Yep, I have been fishing all my life!

Started with general fishing including some sea fishing but, due to time constraints, I now only fish for three weeks per annum and all of it is in France chasing large carp!

I having been fishing in France since 1991 when I first went over there.

I've done some sea fishing in the last 10 years too including on Nick Lightfoot's boat out of Brighton and with a nice skipper out of Dartmouth (conger trips).

If it wasn't for work and my racing, I would fish every week!

Fly fisherman here, been doing it since I was a kid.

Also fly tying, another side that takes a lot of time and skill.

I used to sell Beluga Sturgeon for ponds. The only trouble is if you keep Koi you've probably got a 3 foot deep pond - so you'll probably never see the Sturgeon again!

Fishing-wise I got into it a bit last year year when I rented a log cabin on a lake. I caught a 10lb carb on a kids plastic rod that cost £3! The reel wouldn't take the strain so I pulled it in by hand! I'm going back there in a few weeks with a proper rod - can't wait

We sometimes go for a walk round the local pond and watch the fish botherers. My brother in law is the bailiff although it is something I never got caught up in. We saw a carp pulled in the other day, about an 18 pounder.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I go Mackerel Murdering quite regularly off the Island, St Ives in the summer. Locost food, and good fun too. Sammy the seal gets a few when we catch a few - afterall, I can go to Tesco's when I'm hungry, he cannot.

Not so much these days, but used to fish a lot when my dad was alive as he was very keen.
Always sea fishing though as I like to eat what I catch if it's big enough. Never saw the point
of sitting for hours round a pond just to throw them back in.
