Ebay Rant
Arggg, sold lots of items (15 or so) over the weekend, Most of them have now been picked up or paid for and posted. But I've had 2, that after
winning and item, have asked me questions about it.
One for a original zetec exhaust manifold asking something about a turbo, and one for a sierra steering wheel asking what condition its in. Both since
answering 3 days ago haven't responded, nor paid, nor anything.
Very frustrating, Is it me being picky and wishing everything was perfect or this happen to others as well?

One of the frustrations of ebay I'm afraid.
In the first instance I'd try contacting them (send an invoice or something as a reminder to pay) and keep it friendly. If that fails
it's straight to the non-paying bidder report system. At least you still have the items so stand a chance of re-listing and selling them again.

I think it is getting worse, had a few people win then cancel their bid for some daft reason like"put wrong price in" don't really
know what the answer is.

I think some people are just not smart enough to "get" eBay. It is a dangerous place for a seller as you are going to get done over
frequently. Add 10% to the price you want for everything you sell and expect 10% of sales to end up as a dead loss. Overall you'll be right
where you expected to be.

eBay is so full of messers nowadays. I went on a big house clean out last month, and sold an array of items ranging from car parts to kitchen
appliances. I had one item, a new bellini chocolate fountain (unwanted Xmas present SWMBO rec'd) that I sold. Only got about £6 for it, plus
£5 P&P, and it took over 2 weeks for the winning bidder to pay. Apparently they were "without internet", which I find funny because
they bid and won other items in that time. Eventually got money through Paypal, then sent it few days later. They moaned it took 2 working days to
arrive, then said that there were no instructions on how to put it together! It's the base, the bottom cup, then tube up and corkscrew piece in
the middle to flow the chocolate up - you don't need a degree, or even much common sense really! Then they said they no longer wanted it, told
eBay it wasn't as described (?!?) and demanded a refund.
It's a joke - full of messers who want the moon on a stick, and the problem is eBay nearly always sides with the buyer which is the most
infuriating thing! I take pride in having over 120 feedback, with 100% positive . I always make sure postage is fair, and sne dit recorded to ensure
smooth and insured delivery. Makes me wonder why I bother a lot of the time though - I've had more luck with people direct on here and their
kind nature!
Sorry for the hijack and extended rant, steam is slowly dispersing from my ears....

If you're in a transaction with aomeone on eBay (ie they're bidding on something of yours etc.) you can pull their details.
You get their address and phone number, it's amazing how many people stop pissing about once they get a phone call from a "real"
person.
Most arses on eBay don't associate eBay IDs with real people, once they get a phone call from a person it all becomes a bit more real to them

As a buyer I also get pissed off with sellers pulling the items before the end.
I was bidding on a couple of LR bits and they were all at 99p so expecting a bargain. He pulled them then relisted them and the same happened. They up
there again now for the 4th time! Surprised ebay allow this sort of behaviour, but there you go...

I'm approaching nearly 400 transactions (yes... I know!) and in all that time I've only been let down twice. Both occasions were a bit of
a PITA, but they were resolved quickly and to my satisfaction.
My pet eBay hate is pretty much the same as Coozers... I get bloomin annoyed when you see an item that's been given a low starting price and
then a couple of days before the end the Seller updates his listing to say that if he doesn't get any bids in the next few hours then he's
going to pull it! These dip-wits should be banned from ebay!
I also have to laugh at the desperate sellers who update their item to say... "wow - 6 million watchers and still no bids - what are you waiting
for guys!".

In fact, using the word "wow' in listing titles should result in an automatic ban... that and "NOS" in ad's that have
absolutely nothing to do with NOS!
e.g... "Sierra Clutch Pedal WOW, NOS, not FERRARI, EVO, RARE, FIND ANOTHER, WOW"

Report 'em for "keyword spamming", the auction will/should be pulled.

My rant :-)
As said before the pain of ebay is the to**ers on it. Until last week I had a 100% feedback of over 1200 then some to**er leaves me negative feedback
without even contacting me. They had bought 2 replacement mains cables from me, I sell 100's of them and use them myself, they come ready made
from the supplier. They claimed the first one blew up!!! and the second worked for 2 days then stopped working, claimed they couldn't be
bothered to contact me or ask for a refund.
What the f*ck, if I had bought something that 'blew up' then I'd be firing off emails straight away. I contacted the supplier of the
cables and they had never heard of one of them 'Blowing up' or failing in a short period.
My rant over - feeling better now :-)

I've only ever bought one thing from eBay (Hunky Dory on Cassette, the Cassette version is far superior to the CD and the LP) but I go on there
alot just to look around and I think its getting worse.
Key word spamming is the thing that pisses me off so much, you search for something and get a load of other rubbish that you don't want, and I
doubt it gets sales as I tend to report them when it happens. That and they tend to be written by someone from another planet who's learnt to
write english from intecepting text messages and barcodes.
Theres also alot of people on there come across far to agressive, esspecially when you get adds that say you have to leave positive feedback and all
that kind of thing. Alot of people don't seem to understand that rules and laws still apply to them.
