Another Rant (non car related)

The one before last weekend, my computer started overheating. I knew I had to clean it as I hadn't cleaned it for 1 year since my last upgrade.

I decided to try to make it as quiet as possible so i looked arround for the parts and Monday the 28th of June, I placed an order with ECLIPSE Computers as they were the cheapest of what i was after and had everything in stock.

Wednesday the 30th, i recieved an email saying that the CPU cooler i ordered was not in stock and asked if i wanted another cooler.

As my computer is a small cube, the cooler i ordered was the biggest i could fit so i didn't want another one.

I was also told, that they were waiting for an order to come through on Thursday but i wouldn't have it till Monday the 5th July.

Despite that, they send the rest of the order.

I called them yesterday asking for an ETA and they didn't get back to me.
Called today and they still don't know. They are waiting for an answer from the supplier.

I am completely PI$$ED OFF

I cannot assemble the computer as when and if the cooler turns up, i will have to take it back to pieces to fit it.

I know it is not the end of the world but i am using an old computer that makes so much noise as a jet fighter.

And the most annoying of all, That is why i paid 140 quid for my upgrade. TO HAVE A SILENT COMPUTER.

FFS!!!!!!!!!!!!

Obviously, if i cancel the order, I have to pay an extra 12 quid to get it from somewhere else which is nearly half the price of the cooler on top.

Still, you didn't, for example, step on a landmine today. Look on the bright side, eh?

I'm guessing Eclipse is the Eclipse in Coventry.

If it is .......... good luck! They have a reputation around here for a reason. A lot of people I know will only deal with them if they can go into the shop and buy it there and then. This also means they can also take it back when it doesn't work.

Good luck.

I've used Novatech as well - no complaints. Reasonably good kit, and they have good customer service.
