2cv based pick up

Hi guys, a mate of mine has just retired his 2cv and wants to turn it into a pick up. He says he remembers such a thing in a magazine once but cant find any trace of it. It involved cutting out the rear half and replacing it with a flat bed and putting in a partition which was moulded grp with a window in the back.
Has anyone got any idea what he was talking about and point us in the right direction.
Thanks in advance.
Dave.

They did a factory pickup didn't they? I'm sure I've seen one carrying goats somewhere.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Everyday sight in Derbyshire isn't it Pete?

Especially the goats.

Cheers

Chris

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Chop the roof off something at the scrapyard and make it fit then put a flat panel in the back of the cab. Make a pickup bed out of floorboarding or similar, the chassis is independent anyway. You should be able to do this for somewhere in the region of £7.38p if you source the right bits. £800 kit for a 2CV my arse. Bring it round I'll get the angle grinder round it for you.
