Roller blades?

I'm thinking of getting some roller blades (another mid life crisis, like the bike apparently)

Had a look at Roces Stockholm - any suggestions otherwise.

Ta very much

They look ok to me, especially at £44.95!!!

Here, in case you saw it dearer elsewhere: LINK

It's the old tried 'n tested roces boot as was on the majestic 12, which was top of the tree back in the day. I've got a pair of 12s and a set of quads with those boots and they are good quality and comfortable, also not too bulky. I paid £220 for the 12s before! That said, after a few (4-5hours) on them in a skate park they could dig in a bit, depends on the shape of your foot TBH.

I swapped for roces 5th elements in the end which are pretty awesome to be fair, but not a lesiure skate.

In my opinion though, the 202 on this page looks like it would be comfier: FREE PLUG FOR ME MATE JOHN'S SHOP!

This isn't a million miles out pricewise either. There are also some recreational skates on sale there from no fear LINK but I can't say if these are good bad or other personally, only ever bought Roces.

Roces are always good quality and quite stable too, you won't go far wrong with a pair whatever ones you get.

Hmm, it was the price that attracted me (on that site)

Not been on skates since I was about 20 (now 44) but I reckon I'll be ok on them.

Don't want to spend much as it's more to keep my youngest (nearly 8!!) company when he goes to the skate park!

Well like I said, you won't go far wrong with roces especially at that price, go for it!

They are unbelievably cheap, you won't get that quality for that price very often

all the best

edit: woah! they still sell majestic 12s! with that same boot! albeit with the grind sole on it.LINK

+1 for Roces. I still have a pair of Majestic 12's in the garage from the good ol' days, and loved them to bits. I also used to have a pair of Bauer's, which were again, top of the quality list at the time. I know they make ice skates still, but not sure about rollers. As was previsously stated, they cost me circa £240 as they were the bees knees!

Ha ha, awesome, I've got a real old set of bauer turbos (ice) in the attic, that takes me back, bought them off a boy in school about 17 years ago!

I thought I'd treat myself and bought a new set last year, nike-bauer one05's, they are sweet, even if I've only used them 3 times in a year, better than rental boots!

I should skate more it's the buisness but would probably do myself a mischief if I put the inlines on, lol

I've still got a pair of Bauers in the shed, can't remember the last time I put 'em on though!!!

Will have to dig em out sooner rather than later now they've been mentioned!

Grown ups shouldn't ride scooters or wear roller blades, you just look stupid in A&E when you tell them what happened.

( or skateboards )

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

Used to work with a bloke who said his broken wrist (scaffolding through skin, pinning bones together) was due to roller blading - turned out he tripped over the cat and wanted to look a bit cooler
