Can't answer your Q directly, but if you're hoping to go direct to their supplier & get one cheaper then I doubt you'll be lucky. Everything that I buy & sell, to get any decent sort of price I usually have to buy in 100's or at least 10's & many of these suppliers simply don't deal unless you have a trade account with them.

Is there a specific type of silencer you're looking for as CBS are frequently not the cheapest?

I no longer run Furore Products or Furore Cars Ltd, but would still highly recommend them for Acewell dashes, projector headlights, dominator headlights, indicators, mirrors etc, best prices in the UK! Take a look at http://www.furoreproducts.co.uk/ or find more parts on Ebay, user names furoreltd & furoreproducts, discounts available for LCB users.
Don't forget Stainless Steel Braided brake hoses, made to your exact requirements in any of around 16 colours. http://shop.ebay.co.uk/furoreproducts/m.html?_dmd=1&_ipg=50&_sop=12&_rdc=1

not bothered about the price as i already have their 6" silencer but i want one making with a short 90 degrees bend at the exit. they exhausts have a long 45 degree exit pipe!

do you think that i could have a chat with the guys there and see whether they could speak to there suppliers and see it could be done?

Ah! misunderstood your angle!
Worth talking to them, depends what sort of relationship they have with the supplier - if they're bought from China the answer will be NO!

Couldn't you just buy a 90 degree exit, cut yours off and weld a new one on?

(or get a push on one and cut yours off after 1 inch).

SW fabrications in Bangor will make them to your spec for good money too, i.e. cheaper than CBS ones

Don't want to shell out £250 for a new silencer and then have it hacked to pieces when i can make a phone call and have them do it when its made.

I have had a price from Tech Craft who have been highly recommended buts its £100 dearer!

That means he has to actually 'build' something instead of bolting it together!

I can highly recommend Powerspeed Fast Road in Ashford Kent 01233 662225

Andy or Dave.

They made my 7" repackable silencer and they do a lot for Caterham. Workmanship is stunning and the kit they have there is mechanical porn

My 7" silencer cost £280 fitted. 6" ones are £260 I think.

They would have no bother modding anything in this area I would challenge.

I just bought two CBS silencers to quieten toy car down (quite substantially as it happens); they are more than capable of doing the work for you - they used to make cars, after all!

I'd suggest you ask them.
