Has anyone got a cheap laptop?
Aye up,
I dunno if this is in the right section, or not.
But, my dad has decided to get into the world of the T'internet and computermabobs.
He bought a laptop from the local carboot, that is trash(fake windows loaded, stuffed power supply, and no end of passwords locking it out).
So, I'm trying to find a cheap laptop for him to use for a while, to learn how to work things.
It doesn't have to anything special, it just has to work, and not be too slow.
If it has wireless enabled, that would be a bonus, but not essential, i can get a wireless card for it later.
Would prefer a windows xp version.
I'm really looking for under £100.
Has anyone got owt?

i have an old sony vaio which i bust the charger on around 8 months ago. its ok spec and will be fine for surfing etc.
i used it for automated scanning and some media centre setups.
if your interested i want £40 delivered but you will need a charge which will be about £20 off ebay etc.
it have windows vista or xp i think
i can send spec if any use for you.
was £2000 when i bought it brand new 5 years or so ago.

laptop details.
sony vaio
pcg 9r5m
its got 2gb of ram
hard drive needs formatting and new windows installing.
it has a license for xp.
