Robbing Bastards
Got a phone call from the misses this morning telling me my garage has been broken into and that my sons ktm motox bike and my mountain bike have been
stolen...lots more in the garage to be taken but thats all they took, as i am working offshore in nigeria at the moment there is not much i can
do...its always the same, this poo always happens when i am not at home. Hopefully the police do there job and the house ins pay up but i am sure it
will be harder to get money from them than it is for them to get my money.
Rant over for now......and to those that took them be aware that when i get home my balaclavor and my baseball bat will come out of retirement.

Did you have insurance on the KTM ? They might not pay out on a vehicle under a domestic policy, I know a few who have fallen foul of this.

Pete.....not got seperate ins for the ktm and if thats the case then my ins will be told my mountain bike cost 2k....needs must!!!!!

sorry to hear of your loss
we had four yes four mini motos stolen from one of my garages the ins co said as they had petrol engines they werent covered.
they were only cheap from ebay but still they were ours.
its kinda obvious things like this are stolen to order

bad news about the break in, but check your policy, quite a lot of contents insurance has a limit of around £500-£1000 for item stored in a garage or
shed.
Unless named on the policy as such.

My nephews Kawasaki motorX bike was nicked a few years ago. It was recovered from a pikies site with some damage, looked like someone had done a
wheelie and gone off the back of the bike. Best part about it there was a pikie with 2 arms in plaster on the site . Hope you get yours back

Most domestic contents policies have an exclusion clause along the lines of:
'motor vehicles, their parts and accessories.'
So if, for example, you went to Halfords and purchased a car battery and some AA torch batteries then subsequently had them stolen from your garage
your insurer would compensate you for the AA batteries, but not the car battery.
