40 was a bad birthday for me.
Here is why! I think that most people would see 80 as a good innings. On that basis, your now half way through your life. Look at it another way,
assume your life is represented by a graph, up to your 40th, your climbing the graph, afterwards its all down hill. A scary thought for me when I
reached 40.

Holy Smoke - exactly 9 years older than me - you must have had a long paper round!
I occassionally still get asked for I.D. and I am at the stage where that's a good thing...

You're assuming a normal distribution - remember that you can make statistics show whatever you want....

Happy birthday mate, to be honest I've had more fun in the last 3 years being over 40 than any other time in my life, but I wish to god I had
the same body I had when I was twenty as the fun hurts more these days

I was 30 feet up a tree yesterday cutting big bits off with a bow saw and I ache everywhere today. I wish I was 40. Happy birthday.
