I used to put 2oz in the barrel before adding the beer just for secondary fermentation. I haven't done any for ages but I might have to get my barrels out ready for Christmas. The kilo went in the first ferment which I used to do in a plastic bucket.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

I'm drinking my Wherry now and it's lovely. I add 3oz glucose to each 5 gallon barrel.
