You mean to say he's 8 years old and doesn't have all those things already? Just imagine all the teasing he'll be getting on the school playground from his mates. As his uncle, you have a duty and a responsibility to provide all those gifts, not just the laptop and docking station.......

Amazing how kids think now....Its amusing but not right either.

My Christmas days were infront of the gas fire, only heated room in the house, playing with 3 or 4 Dinky's and eating my selection box in one hit.

I have a twenty year old , who objects to paying 25 quid a week board , buts its ok for him to earn 300 a week?, so it doesnt change with age.

ps. My boy has asked me to make a kit for a robot that he can build for himself.
It needs to be able to hover, and fly like a jet.
It has to have a smashing arm to make tunnels, laser guns and rockets, and TV controller.
He was originally going for a remote control but has now up-graded to voice control.
I am going to be a seriously disappointing father!

When my daughter gets a little ambitious with her requests, I get her to tot up the total price and then work out how long it would take her to save her pocket money for it. Introduce a bit of perspective to it.

Thing is he is seven. I did ask him to design it for me with drawings etc, and now have a pile of drawings (each different) in soft pencil in the garage.
I plan to get them out at his wedding!
