OT: Progress Kitchen
A lot of you have helped one way or another with little bits of info during this... so figure I might as well share some of my photos...
Bought the house in August... has been non stop since... Had a lot of "origional" features and a lot of damp... lots of lead pipes and
snails...
New water-main, drainage ditches and a lot of work later I am getting there...
Removing side steps..filled a 6 yard skip with the rubble
Digging new watermain
Origional kitchen... very trendy
Lean-to- Toilet out, foundations for extension in..
Dining room wall getting ready to come out :-)
Walls are getting there
Horrendous rot under the bath.... no idea how anyone can let things get so bad!
Dinner on the floor.... You kinda get used to it after a while!
Electrics gone onto the walls/render/plaster
Hmm... rather dodgy.... the previous owner was DIY mad and managed to bugger up most of the electrics in the house... Including using a 5A fuse slot
in the consumer unit for a 40A shower...
Thats better!
Primer gone on the walls
Kitchen Asembly time
Another meal prepared, cooked and eaten off the floor...
Its going to be rather weird having a kitchen, a working bog and carpets again...

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

looking good Duncan... but I thought you were now at uni? how the hell have you had time to do all that work as well?!
We gain knowledge faster than we do wisdom!
Life is not a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well-preserved body, but rather to skid in
sideways, thoroughly used, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming... "f*ck, what a trip!"

Lots of room for a garage extension there. You could bring it right up to the front of the house. Surprised you didn't do that first.
It's all a case of priorities and surely having a nice garage comes before doing up the kitchen.

Mads, it has been a little... Interesting... Not been able to focus perhaps as much time on uni as I would like... which is why I am now on a mad
push to get this little bugger finished so I can perhaps get better marks next semester!!!
Yes, that is a bottle of Lambrini... I hasten to add that it is NOT mine....lol...
Just trying to sort the fiddly bits out now, conice, upstands etc in the kitchen and fitting appliances.... Oh.. and revising for a calculus exam
tomorow... its all good :-)

Very impressive young man.
You have single handedly restored my faith in the youth of today.

Just got the keys for my new house today, it is a 50's ex council house, modernised in the 70's so the list of jobs has just got bigger
1. Start new life
2. Modernise the house
3. Build a workshop.
4. Secure garage so tools are safe.
5. Build a trailer.
6. Finish building my nephews 7.
7. Carry out mods to my 7.
and all by May, I am thinking no chance, will have to set my priorities, start new life, workshop, secure garage, carry out mods, build trailer,
nephews car, modernise house or win the lottery and get someone to do the house and workshop...sorted
