logo ideas (and possibly graphic designer) needed
Hi all,
A friend of mine is setting up a business and has asked me to set up a website for it. He also wants me to design a logo for the business but I seem
to be drawing a blank so figured I'd turn to the collective creative LCB brain...
The business name is "Homecare Matters" and will be aimed at primarily providing pharmaceutical review service to nursing homes. However,
it will hopefully expand to other services too so dont want to center the whole thing around drugs.
The only logo I have come up with so far as of a pair of hands facing upwards with a house sitting inbetween them. Anyone got any other ideas? and
anyone good with graphic design as my attempts have been pretty useless!!
Look forward to your suggestions.
Thanks,
mads

My lodger is a graphic designer... this is what he does every day... He should be able to design you a logo and supply suitable files etc for a
reasonable price... U2U me if that is of interest.
We actually work together, he does the graphic design work, logos, website layouts etc and then I build them in whatever format the client wants...
simples :p

I used 99designs.com for our logo.
Seemed locost and hassle free. Give the brief once, get 30-40 different designs, eliminate the crap, the 10 with promise go away and develop it a bit
more and then pick a winner.
Just a thought about the company name, always weigh up the benefit of "does exactly what it says on the tin" with "allows for future
diversification".
There is a company near me called "Just Brickwork", which is fine, until you see the "Scaffolding Division" sign on some of
their vans. I'm waiting for them to rebrand to "Just Brickwork, Scaffolding, a bit of roofing, might as well do the facias while we are
up here, hang on a minute, we can do the pointing as well, and paint it if you want".

Thanks for the comment Guinness. With regards to the service, it will always remain centered around nursing homes so they name should not be a
problem. Want the same with the logo to ensure it's not pigeon-holing the business to one thing.
