Who can I complain to?

Been into central london today to see the wizard of oz at the palladium, had to drive due to medical condition of one of us, booked up a car park and planned to get a cab from car park to the theatre. Gave ourselves 2 1/2 hours to get there from watford which should have been plenty of time.

Unknown to us until we were there but the exact area we needed to be was all closed off due to government protests, thus we couldn't even get to the pre paid car park as the road it was on (park lane) was closed. I couldn't even drive up to the theatre to drop the others off so at least they could see the show.

The upshot is we all missed the show which we've been looking forward to for a year is one very upset daughter and two livid parents.

I'm both angry at the car park for letting me book parking i couldn't possibly use and also to the organisers of the protest for the carnage on the streets.

Now normally I'd not even think of driving into central London to see a show but in this case it was the only option, so thought I'd covered it all by pre booking parking and leaving plenty of time.

Who can I complain to?

Not entirely sure what good it would do, however demanding refunds on this basis could work. I mean are you really going to complain to protestors?

Did you pre pay for the car park? if so the sale of goods and service act comes into play, clearly what you paid for was not fit for purpose. Even if you didn't pay the car park owners, or whoever you booked with should have informed you of the closure.

Once you have got them to admit their error, move in for the compensation.

Yep Paid up front for the parking online booking.

I've got no gripe with the protesters themselves, freedom of speech and all that but my problem is with the organisers as we've effectively been discrimenated against as we have been denied access to our destination.

And yes my first call will be with the car park and then go from there.
