Ok, but can anybody tell us why they are always altered, back or forth, at 2.00am?
I always understood it to be something to do with the Royal Navy, but I am unsure why .
As for F1, have McClaren been sandbagging again in pre-season testing?

I always thought it was because it's a time when the fewest number of people would be up and about.

I thought the spring change was at 1am. Goes forward to 2am in a blink.
The autumn change is at 2am going back to 1am.
They have to do the change in the early hours so they avoid midnight. Old computer system would have had major issues if they went back at midnight...
It would probably have gained/lost an entire day by mistake

Doubt very much that it is anything to do with computers, they have been changing at 2.00am as long as I can remember!

It's something to do with messing us about and calling it a good thing. There's no reason to do it now.

In these days of financial misery and depression along with most countries trying to self-destruct, moving the clocks forward is one of the few things
to look forward too I reckon. Means I can get an extra hour of work done on the car in the weekdays
It looks like the Midget is winning at the moment......

So, I've just lost an hour... So has everybody else.
Where do all these lost hours go??? Are they collected in some massive 'time bank' until October, when they lat us have it back?
In which case these is probably 'time interest' collecting on it. I want it back in October!!!
I reckon it could be worth an extra 15 minutes over seven months
Now, what shall I do with my extra time when I get it back...

I thought the changing at 1/2 thing was something to do with the BBC and became convention as a result.
In a White Room, With Black Curtains, By the Station.
