Train tickets
Right.. I rarely take the train anywhere, and in the past it's always been convenient to go from Leamington near work so I always booked a
ticket online and collected at the station. Rip-off but at least I can anticipate the cost.
Problem is, I live 2 miles from Honeybourne which goes direct to London, and I'm going on a day off so would like to go from Honeybourne.
I want to book a ticket online, but it says I have to go to one of the stations with a ticket machine to pick it up, which would take me back to
bloody Leamington or at least Stratford! (What's the point then?!)
My question is.. how do I find out how much a ticket would cost if I were to simply go and buy it at Honeybourne station on the day? I need an offpeak
Travelcard. Otherwise I'll just have to travel from Leamington!
Apologies for being so ignorant, but trains aren't my fave.
Thanks,
Pavs

nope, £34 off peak day return, direct to paddington
but if you want to know how much the ticket is at the station, phone the station?

don't write OT on a new thread title, you're creating the topic, everything you write is very much ON topic!

You should be able to buy the same ticket at the desk as online. You could buy it in Leam or Honeybourne for a future date just as you can online.
ie check now online what price for the service you want, then go into the station and book that ticket.
You can buy a ticket at Leam, when you are at work, for a journey starting elsewhere.
You could probably also book online, and collect from the Leam machine on a work day, ahead of the travel day.
Obviously if you leave it until the day, some of the advance tickets will not be available.
As for the off-peak travelcard - do you mean a London Transport (TFL) travelcard?

yes the ticket office should do an advanced booking depending on spaces available.
also an off peak travelcard means a london return with zones 1-6 included.

Thanks chaps, I might just do that - book online and collect from Leam when at work in advance. Then I'll ask on the day at Honeybourne how much
it would cost if I bought it on the day (not advance) for future reference.
still can't believe how expensive it is (From leam a day ticket was £34 last I went)

If you use Redspottedhanky and order early enough then you can have the tickets posted for free.
