Mondeo - FWD or RWD?

I've been looking for that information but I've not been able to find it. Even in the "specs" page for this car at the Ford website doesn't mention it.

I'm curious since a friend of mine just got a Mondeo V6, he told me it's FWD and I thought that was unusual ¿?

So what is it?

Cheers,

Alex

It's FWD. Although they did do a 4WD version early in it's life I believe but it still had a transverse mounted engine.

I've driven a RWD mondeo.

Gartrac rally thing - bloody frightening.

But I agree with the above all FWD except the 4WD mk1

I wonder if the back axle out of the 4WD would be any good in a Locost?

Cheers

Chris

Doh!!! All transmissions in Fords are now made by Getrag. They split the transmission side of ther business to an independant company some time ago.

Why would it be any more frightening than driving a bike powered Locost? We have more BHP / ton (I assume?) in less wheelbase! (although it's true that we handle properly due to better weight distribution and much lower CoG I guess), also they have IRS while we usually have live axle..
