Do I need a new phone?
Me being a tight-wad have been pottering on for years with cheapo mobiles (on a very cheap T mobile contract ) but as I have internet included, and
I am off on my hols to the states in the summer, I was wondering if I should get a wifi phone, and if so, it would ideally be 3G so I could make use
of mobile interweb on my contract
Is there a cost effective (that is important) solution? I use it as a phone, send a few (about 10) texts a month, and will not be overly disappointed
if I am stuck. I have about a year to go on my T mobile contract, but as it is only £5 a month that could be written off I guess.
Any suggestions? Not into the cashback stuff as I used it heavily a few years ago, but then discovered many retailers do not play ball and it is
lots of grief. Quidco is good though

If you're a bit techy you could get an Orange San Francisco for about £100.
They are very easy to unlock, so you could use it on your T mobile contract and with a bit of extra work you can install a new operating sysytem.
I've got a San Fran now running on Tesco PAYG and Android 2.2 and getting the F1 quali times now.

Yeah I'll second the San Fran (rebranded ZTE Blade) - amazing value for money and free to unlock to any network too
Normal is getting dressed in clothes that you buy for work and driving through traffic in a
car that you are still paying for - in order to get to the job you need to pay for the clothes
and the car, and the house you leave vacant all day so you can afford to live in it.

As above currently using another Orange ZTE model changing to San Francisco before summer holidays, Orange PAYG conditions are you have to wait
3 months before unlocking from Orange although you should be able to get it from other suppliers but beware of scammers as you could
"brick" your phone.

Orange and T-Mobile are same firm now, my old Orange PAYG phone shows both networks on screen when I'm at home.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
