General Anesthetic q:D

Peeps,

Had my first ever general anesthetic on Monday for minor surgery (radial nerve decompression) on my right arm.

Thing is that was now 60ish hours ago and I still have a numb tip to my tongue. According to google it's quite common, so have any of you suffered from it and how long did it take you to get over it

Ta V much

Takes me a few days to get over a general anaesthetic.

My late mother would wake up in the recovery room on cue and be given tea and toast.
That was it, job done, right as rain.

We're all different, I suppose.

Tingly tongue is the only prob, after I woke I just wanted to go back to sleep - which I do every morning, so that was perfectly normal

Numb tip of the tongue is probably cos they've walloped your lingual nerve when they put the trachy tube down. GAs are alright in my book but they make me chuck like I'm pashing the porcelain princess like a good'un.

Well that's better than the bloke who sat next to me on a 747, halfway down the runway as we were taking off he turned to me and said "we're not going to make it"

We did make it obviously

Planes are great for that, you never know who your gonna get. I had a guy once buy two brandies, then just passed me one and said He'd thought I'd needed one since we got on (About 15mins earlier as we going from London to Glasgow). He was a right Hoot though but I was a little scared so I sort of hid for abit so I wouldn't end up on a bus with him.

My Ma takes a few days to recover, well thats what she says
