OT:- Can I bond Plyboard to metal (mild steel) angle with normal PU bond???
Hi All,
As above, I have a spare tube of PU (normal stuff in black for bonding FG wings to wingstays) and wondered whether I could sucessfully make a
relatively arduous task much easier! (I don't fancy drilling a hundred holes in 3mm steel angle iron!)
So, assuming I key both surfaces, what do people reckon the chances are that I will get a good bond? Other things to note are that this is not a
kitcar, and is a trailer. Therefore, not structural as anything weighing on the bonded join will only serve to press the mating faces together...
Thanks in advance for constructive feedback...
Cheers,
Steve

You always go too far Scootz!
When we talk of a trailer we mean a bastardised caravan chassis which we hope might suffice to drag a kit car to the track and back without giving
out.....not the sort of trailer you would buy and then sell at less than purchase price
