4.How do I transfer my registration number?
To transfer a registration number form one vehicle to another you will need to complete form V317 that is available from a DVLA Local Office. This
form will explain what you need to do before the number can be transferred. If you require further information, please contact your nearest DVLA Local
Office.
5. How do I retain my registration number as I have not got another vehicle to transfer the number to?
To place a vehicle registration number on hold you will need to complete form V778/1 that is available from a DVLA Local Office. The form will explain
what you need to do before the number can be retained. If you require further information please contact your nearest DVLA Local Office.
I also think your vehicles need to be MoT's and Taxed (or Sorn'd) to put it on a retention certificate.
Also not sure if you can change the age related one the DVLA give you for the Locost. Check this out, as I am not too sure.

If you get a 'K' or newer for your Indy you could transfer it but if your donor is older you will be stuck with the year off that.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

As Pete says, only if you get a plate for your Indy K or newer !
So if you had a G reg sierra donor (or something) then thats older than K so not allowed

You can't transfer to or from a Q plate, everything else is ok so long as you put it on something of the same age or older.
Cheers

Note to all: I really don't know when to leave well alone. I tried to get clever with the mods, then when they gave me a lifeline to see the
error of my ways, I tried to incite more trouble via u2u. So now I'm banned, never to return again. They should have done it years ago!

Also forgot to mention:
You cant make a car look newer than it is with a reg plate.
ie a G reg car can have any reg upto G, but not H,J,k, L, etc etc
So you will want a donor with a K or later plate. for your K reg.
