uPVC door help needed

I've just had some French doors delivered and I'm trying to fit them. The frame is in OK. The instructions say "drop the doors onto the hinges". They only go half way. The hinges on the frame have pins with a narrow turned bit half way up. The doors have holes that are slightly narrower in the middle and a couple of screws to tighten them up. I guess it is to stop the doors lifting off when fitted. How do I persuade the doors to drop all the way down onto the pins? My weight on them is not enough.

Do the hinges on the door have plates that cover the adjustment mechanism. The locking screws might be behind it.

Thanks. Hammering in the screws released the covers that was enough to let it drop. Cheers.
