AVG / digital river card hacking

morning people, 2 weeks ago i got a message from my bank, there were 2 payments made to AVG via "digital river" who seem to be some sort of a factoring company, they were nothing to do with me so assuming my card had been hacked, the payments were declined, card calcelled and i got a new card.
only used my new card twice, petrol station and ATM so imagine my suprise when i get another message this morning, the same people at it again.
obviously this has been stopped but i did miss one payment that snuck through in 2016, i did buy from AVG about 10 years ago, never renewed it and have had several cards since then.
anyone else had this problem ?

Was the petrol station a self service payment at the pump?

i have never used digital river so maybe they have been hacked or it,s a scam company, petrol station is a tesco one staffed by chatty little old ladies so no reason to think they are at it .....it,s different out here in the stix, people still have time to talk to each other .

I only asked as the only time I've ever been scammed card wise (twice) was down to self service fuel pumps. Both Tesco incidentally.

I thought it sounded familiar, Digital River were the payment provider for the Microsoft Home Use Program and an application called Citrix Xenapp, both of which I purchased in 2015. The payments went through, there were no other transactions. Seemed ok to me?
