Bloody car !!!!

well , there i was working 12 hours a day to get me engine and box back in me 740 for the RWYB at the pod .

got it all finished 9.30 the night before.

well the drive down the A1 was interesting , new gearbox etc , on less than std boost car was moving quite happily . then about 4 miles form the pod , whats this - no boost .

anyway i couldnt find it - tried everything apart from changing the turbo .

so i did a 20.6 - shyte , NA

so me old man let me have a go in his S70 . 14.7 @97.4 .

anyway im buggered if i can find why it dont work .

perhaps its an omen - stick to the locost .

Didn't forget to fit the turbo in all the rush?

Ho ho ho.

Dunno owt about volvos. Wastegate stuck open? Pressure reference pipe to it split or something (virtually immobilises a rover 800 turdo? Plug to ecu fallen off?

well its motronic and an AFM so its not that sophisticated , i had the housing off and the wastegate is free , got spring tension etc etc .

the only two things i can come up with is , the wastegate hole on the new housing doesnt match up with the old housing allowing exhaust to blow by - or i have a leak - but the car idles ok .

the only other thing is the turbo fubared .
