My buddies boss! Fame at last
My mate works for this guy!!!!!!!!!!!!
Businessman denies 156mph speed
The speed was registered during a police crackdown
A Fife businessman has gone on trial accused of driving at 156mph while holding a mobile phone to his ear.
The car was caught on camera on a dual carriageway near Kirkcaldy last May during a weekend speeding crackdown.
The town's sheriff court was shown the film frame by frame and operator Alexander Brown identified the driver as Ronald Klos, who denies the
charges.
The evidence has centred on the technology used in the speed trap. The trial has been adjourned until 1 June.
The court was told the equipment can register the speed of a car in a third of a second.
Laser system
Mr Brown said he was using the laser-based technology on the Sunday morning and registered a BMW doing 156mph.
Further examination of the pictures revealed that the driver was holding what appeared to be a mobile phone to his ear.
Under cross-examination Mr Brown admitted that in his statement he had said he could not identify who was driving.
The car was one of 200 caught on camera during the weekend operation by Fife Police.

you must be good to recognise an unknown motorist when hes doing 156mph.
Even if it was an M3 / M5 they are supposed to be limited to 155!
I thought a court of human rights ruled that speed cameras could not be used to take a pic of the driver and it was not illegal to refuse to identify
the driver. Law may have changed tho'.
Whether he was doing 156 or not can probably be disputed with equipment accuracy etc etc. But over 100 is highly likely! Surely that is instant ban
anyway.

i've got a vague memory that over 110 is instant ban, over 90 is court appearance, over 80 is telling off / fixed fine depending on what
you're doing. over 70 is blooming unlucky to get pulled over.
Of course these aren't fixed rules, merely guidance for the officer / court to take into account when making a judgement.

156mph is stupid.
While on the phone is simply the work of a wanker.

156 will get you prison.
i can tell from personal experience that not informing of the driver will get you an ms90 3 points endorsement, and in my case, 150 quid fine.
not a good deal when it could have been 3 points and 60 quid

My Source says its Speed Limit + 10% +2 or 3 Mph (cant remember whether its 2 or 3!!)
Thats speed limit plus the speedo inaccuracy, and the 2 or 3Mph which was from ACPO (Association of Chief Police Officers). The little extra is to
ensure that have a case that will stand up in court and cannot be wriggled out of by arguing just on speedo + the tolerance of 10%.
1. The point of a journey is not to arrive.
2. Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.

speedos are NEVER supposed to underread.
so, following the letter of the law, you must be doing 70 as your car would have least have read that, so they dont have to give any tolerance.

the 10% is an old thing, from when speedos were wrong.
i got clocked at 105, only got 6 points cos i needed the license for work. A mate got 28 day ban for 115.

My mate got a 3 week ban last year for 96 mph in a 50 limit. It is in the middle of nowhere so it was not risking anyones life but it was his second
offence in 6 months. He didn't get points for it though the fine and costs were a stinger, thick end of £400.
yours, Pete
I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.
