Most people I know have seriously regretted swapping to 3. Take a look through the Watchdog (BBC) archives for lists of complaints.

Most people complain of lack of signal (one of my housemates struggles with his in the middle of Cov sometimes!), amonst other things. Also call connections fail a lot.

I dont understand why the signal is so bad on 3 though, as they use the O2 (BT) network, and i never have any trouble with mine at all...

My dad works for the phone section of NEC so he has no choice but to use a 3 phone. The signal isnt as good as a 2g network but isnt bad. It doesnt always fall back onto O2 either.

Orange are worth a blag on their 'Orange value promise' thing which claims they will match any competitors tarrif. As with the old virgin mobile + everyday 50 OVP scam you have to be a bit persistant but they will do it.

From what I heard they're in trouble - people are starting to realise there is little point in watching video's on a tiny screen - once the gimmick wears off - whats the point?

Signal can be a bit hit and miss sometimes but it's so cheap and you get an all singing and dancing phone for naff all! I can usually get connected but on the occasions that connections fail you can always get through eventually even if it means standing on a chair! I don't really use the gadgets but the mp3 player is cool as you can have what you want as a ringtone. I took an mp3 off one of my Van Halen albums and now I've got an Eddie Van Halen guitar solo as a ringtone. Am I sad?...Probably but it gets a lot of laughs!
