Escort 1993 RS2000i 16v problems Injection problems?

Hi,

and friend of mine has an problem with his car... it looks like one piston isn't fired or isn't injected enough..

because the engine gets hot i'mean really hot...

and the exhaust tube of one piston doesn't reach the 300degrees the others does...

does any one know how we can recognize the MCU of the car?? we can only find one and that one is called ATE???

not any ford markings on it..

does any one know where the diagnosis thing is??

maybe some one knows this problem??

at low revs if you give full thottle the engine really looks unbalanced..and it suffers from rising in revs..

then when you drive it doesn't have power...or the car chocks allot...

to lean to me?? but the strange is its injection sow should be fine..wich sensor to check?? temp??

TKs

I had a similar problem on a Golf Gti. I had a specialist look at it but couldnt solve it. In the end i couldnt believe what the fault was. I had an immobiliser fitted that had a fuel pump cut off. The idiot who fitted it cut my fuel pump main feed instead of the relay feed. The pump suffered voltage drop and insufficient fuel was being supplied. Only one cylinder was mainly affected (others probably were too but they werent as apparent.). I re-connected the main feed and it was fine again. Had me baffled for ages. He was Thatcham approved as well!!

Air leaks anywhere?

My pinto did that after the rebuild - it was a blocked injector, an overnight soak in carb cleaner and injector cleaner in the fuel sorted it

If you can keep you head, whilst all others around you are losing theirs, you are not fully aware of the situation
