With the NHS you will need luck. I had an undercarrige op a year and a half ago and its only just healed.

So good luck Drew hope it works out for you.

My dad had to have an operation on his back a few years ago. He was off work for about 4 months and couldn't lift anything heavy for over a year! Also couldn't drive for about 2 months!

I hope all goes well!

Good Luck on Thursday mate.

How come the op? Injury or just crap knee?

I 95% tore the medial ligament, partial cruciate(sp?) tear and cartilage damage about 2 years ago snowboarding. Bloody stupid sport!
Anyway, I was really impressed with the care from the NHS. Had expected the worst but they were really good. They even rushed appointments through when I stressed that I was in the UK kickboxing team and had the European championships coming up and needed a working knee to represent the country!

I paid for private physio afterwards as well as I thought it worth the expense but I probably didn't need to have as the NHS care was good.

Anyway, all the best,

James

There's probably not enough room on this server for me to list the details of all the major ops I've had on my back, neck, shoulders, limbs, face etc. Thirty eight in all and I still need more.
They're never as bad as they sound and for all but one, I soon forgot about any discomfort in hospital.
You'll be bouncing around again in no time and swinging your leg over the side of your Locost!
Good luck for the op anyway.

Cheers, Rorty.
