Mig CO2 regulators?

Can anyone tell me what type of pressure reg. to use on a mig welder-ie what pressure measurement from-to?

Also what pressure do you set it at-for a large bottle?

Thanks in advance, John.

I'm new to this so will share my limited knowledge (read my threads as a lot of great help was given on this site) - I bought a twin gauge industrial CO2 regulator from Machine Mart (£30 plus small pipe connection) to use with large bottles.

I understand one gauge (left hand side) shows what’s left in the bottle (medium bottle reads about 500 however open or closed I turn the main valve on the bottle), the other gives the flow rate, I have messed about a bit and find 10 – 12 litres per minute works best for me (105 turbo Mig Mate, with 0.8 wire), I set it slightly higher so when you part pull the trigger it drops to 12 litres per minute.

Hope this is what you were after.

Mark
