isofix child seat - ford c-max

Help...

I have a 54 plate ford c-max which, according to the broacher and owners manual has Isofix mounting points in the rear seats.

The manual says that you just need to take the car to your dealer and they will " make the mounting points available "

Took the car to the dealer last week and was amazed to find that

1. They were totally clueless to what Isofix was until they looked at a c-max broacher
2. They were clueless to what they had to do so that the car seat will fit..

They phoned another ford dealer who also had no idea about the system. At one point there were 3 mechanics and 2 sales reps just staring at the back seats. They even went round the staff to sea if any one with kids had any ideas...

Having had a look myself it seems that all they have to do is provide a small anchorage point that bolts onto the seat mountings - the threaded holes are already there!

Any one with experience of isofix child seats able to help...

All sorted

The mounting points for the isofix are only fitted to the rear outer seats and not the middle seat that ford were trying to fit the car seat to.

seat now fitted .....
