GPS receivers.
Evening folks.
I'm looking for a GPS receiver that I can use with a PDA (HP IPAQ, not sure of the model number now) to show my position on a map. I've
got the memory map software for putting waypoints/tracks into my outdoor-sey GPS (GEKO 301) for walking/mountain biking, but I fancy something that
can show my position on a map.
According to the memory map software, it can be installed on a PDA. Now I just need a GPS receiver to plug into the PDA. I;ve seen a couple of
compact flash card GPS receivers on EBay, and I was wondering if anyone had any experience of them?

I'm not that interested in having something that can plot routes automatically, just something that can be used to show my position on a map
(i.e. provide the GPS input to the memory map software).

I have tom tom software on my phone and a gps receiver that connects to my phone by bluetooth. Basically with just the software i can look at maps and
plan routes then with the gps turned of and bluetooth switched on my position shows as well. So if your pda has bluetooth then about 50 quid off ebay
should show you where you are!
