oh dear
my telly has come to the same conclusion as moi, that there is nowt on worth watching,the screen is now blank.
i had a look at comets etc for a telly,nowt fancy,just enough to watch top gear and some news really,will the analog ones will be useless soon or do
set top boxes sort that out
who cares who wins

analogue's not being switched off til 2012 isn't it ?, but you could still buy a freeview box later if needed...plenty of cheap teles

A normal "analogue" CRT TV will be fine for most of us for at least the next 3 or 4 years. By then you should be able to buy a digital
set-top box for next to nothing. In fact, you can already get a Freeview box for upwards of £40, though the quality may not be the best.
You can always trade up to a big flat-panel high-definition capable TV in another couple of years when there are more high definition sources
available, and the prices for all the bits of kit have dropped to a sane level.

Depends where you live. The first place (some where in Wales) has already been switched off. The last regions (Meridian & London I believe) will
switch in 2012 though.

Aldi has a digital tuner with 80gig hard drive to record onto for £99.99 from today.

I popped into aldi today to look at that,its pretty good as its got a twin tuner too for recording one prog while watching another which the others i
have seen dont have.
Its about half the price of the single tuner ones i've seen,including the goodmans shite in argos.
I'll wait for one that records to disc though.

ill try to fight my way into tesco or asda them,wrong time of the year really.....or wait till jan sales.
ive got a video (remember them) so dont need a gig wotsit
