The new one for the Civic with the choir ?

If it's that one - utterly brilliant IMHO.

I find it really irritating!

Its no where near as interesting as their previous ones - the new civic is a pretty good looking car inside and out, but the ad shows 98% of the time people picking their teeth and making funny faces.

I told honda that as a result of the previous advert, I wanted to buy a Honda S800 Roadster.

They were very polite and said that the model in the advert was no longer available, but they recommended I look at the S2000 which was its supercession model!

A place near us was doing a restoration on a Honda S800 a couple of years ago, it was a neat looking car but it looked very small.

yours, Pete

I went into the RSPCA office the other day. It was so small you could hardly swing a cat in there.

The printed brochure for the new Civic is also fantastic - all bout the "feel" of a honda and uses lots of different materials and textures.

Problem for Honda is the their Marketing Director is leaving at the end of next month and he has been the inspiration behind all the recent great ads.

I spent a day with the Marketing Director last June, adn whilst they use agencies he is responsible for a lot of the basic ideas, and has had the guts to go with the really unusual ones, and the ability to spot what will work. The results/budget ratio he has generated is much better than most other car companies, and how many other car ads have been discussed on here!

I found the 'Cogs' advert on a video clip website the other day, and my son can't get enough of it! Anyone know if it's available on DVD?

You get a bit more than the advert on the DVD - it shows how it was made, what all the parts are, an original video of the music in the ad, and a few out-takes.
