It's gone
Read on the teletext last night that Spa Francorchamps hea been removed from the F1 calender for 2006. Bit of a bumber that as it's one of the
better circuits.

Spa decided to drop the GP and do the rework to the paddock and track instead because it's the one meeting of the year where the circuit loses
money (lots) - so yes, blame Bernie & Max!

Spa
Spa was the best circuit left. I was just nipping down Eau Rouge last night at 185 mph on my GP3 thinking this. Did a massive Jaques Villeneuve and
Ricardo Zonta impersonation though and went flying off. More work on setup needed I think.
This is the F1 site isn't it?

It is all down to Bernie being too greedy - he is the promoter of the race at Spa, as well as getting all the TV revenue. Then he wants the locals
(who effectively own the circuit) to put money into the facilities so he can make even more.
It could be back on though - things like that have happened before. Trouble is, it means the boring circuits like both german rounds are more likely
to continue this year.
