Well theres an easy solution to the 40mph on roads with no white lines.
Fasten a tin of white emultion to the back of your car and puncture a hole in the tin.
This will put a nice dotted line down the centre of the road.
But only problem is it will show old plod the racing line as he trys to catch you!

Just goes to show how a few words can get yer in trouble! 
At the time I was 18 - and couldnt have afforded to do such things.......and 'slow' was 25 mph - im not that fast a talker!
I dont have a white suit, but I do have a velvet jacket that was all the rage until about 1980!!
